Take your group on an extraordinary expedition to the summit of Stetind — Norway’s iconic national mountain.

This majestic granite monolith rises 1,392 metres straight from the fjord, offering one of the most striking climbing experiences in the region. Stetind has been a prominent landmark in the northern Norwegian fjord landscape for centuries, visible to mariners and admired by climbers, artists and photographers alike

A Climb with Definition and Presence

Together with your group, you can ascend the mountain under safe and experienced guidance.

We work with IFMGA-certified mountain guides who ensure a secure and inspiring experience tailored to your group’s capability. While good physical fitness and a steady head for heights are essential, no extensive climbing experience is required — our guides manage the technical aspects and support the team throughout.

This activity is best suited to relatively small groups. We typically have two participants per guide, which enhances safety, efficiency and personal engagement.

What to Expect

The guided climb generally takes 8–12 hours from the parking area to the summit and back. Starting with a walk to Halls foretop (approx. 1,312 m), participants are secured by rope before continuing to the summit. The typical day involves roughly three hours to Halls foretop, two hours of guided climbing to the peak, and a similar duration for the descent.

An Alternative for All Levels

For groups that include participants who prefer a less technical experience, we also offer an alternative ascent to Halls foretop only. This route takes around three hours from the parking area and still delivers an impressive mountain experience with spectacular views — and it concludes where the climbing route to Stetind begins.
