The Gems of the Oslofjord: Distinct Experiences Close to the Capital

Beskrivelse

Information

The Oslofjord is framed by a series of coastal gems well worth discovering.

Our experience shows that it is far easier to create something truly distinctive for a group when stepping away from the noise and pace of the city.

On both sides of the fjord, small and intimate venues offer the setting to discuss strategy, solutions and direction in undisturbed, inspiring surroundings.

During the summer season, we recommend boat transport from Oslo. On a good weather day, the fjord buzzes with life as boats pass by islands, skerries, and picturesque small harbors. It’s hard to imagine a better start to your event!

Drøbak — A Coastal Retreat by the Oslofjord

Drøbak ranks among the most appealing coastal settings along the Oslofjord.

Set on the eastern shore, the town combines beaches and recreational areas with a compact and characterful centre. In summer, sea and town life blend naturally, creating an atmosphere that feels both lively and unhurried.

Preserved wooden houses with well-tended gardens line the streets. Cafés, restaurants, galleries and independent shops sit close together, forming an intimate maritime setting shaped by history and everyday life.

The surrounding area offers a wide range of activities, including an 18-hole golf course set within scenic surroundings just minutes from the centre.

Drøbak offers a rare balance — proximity to the capital, yet a sense of retreat by the water.

Gather on Historic Ground

Oscarsborg Fortress rises prominently in the Drøbak Sound.

Completed in 1853 and later named after King Oscar, the fortress has long safeguarded the sea route to the capital. It also holds a significant place in Norwegian history following the sinking of the German cruiser Blücher on 9 April 1940.

Today, the fortress operates as a hotel and event venue with 89 guest rooms, conference facilities, function rooms and restaurants.

Oscarsborg provides a distinctive setting for corporate gatherings. We design meaningful team activities and appropriate cultural elements within this historic and secluded environment.

Holmsbu Badehotel — Coastal Heritage and Calm

Holmsbu Badehotel dates back to the 1880s and enjoys a scenic position in the coastal village of Holmsbu.

The hotel offers comfortable guest rooms, meeting facilities, event spaces, bar and restaurant.

The recently renovated interiors reflect an atmosphere inspired by the 1930s, when Holmsbu hosted a noted artists’ colony led by Henrik Sørensen.

The property is well suited to groups of up to 100 guests.

Perfect Moments supports the planning of activities and cultural elements tailored to both group and location. In close collaboration with the hotel team, we oversee the details — allowing you to focus fully on your guests.
